It's been a while...

  • Playing: Left 4 Dead
Well it's been a while since I've been on here and even longer since I submitted anything...

Well I have been busy with college, work and life but that's no excuse :P

On and off for the past year I have been doing what is called conworlding (very interesting if I may add), it's basically constructing a world (or universe) for use in literacy work. The main conworld I am working on and off on is based around the future (its Sci-Fi) which according to the people on the forum where I get help from is harder but more rewarding :D
I scrapped the idea of Faster Than Light Travel after realising it would cause a lot of headaches.
I have made (well am making still) an alien race which I will try to post stuff about (currently a lot of the work is on my memory stick and laptop).

It's interesting stuff (even if it doesn't sound it) and I'll try to post information on it when I can.

I have completed all my AS exams at college and am now awaiting the results (worried to hell about them actually). Haven't finished for the term yet though still got a week to go.

Art wise I haven't done much at all, I seem to have little patience for it, I do however on occasion do a tiny amount of pixel art.

Hopefully someone has read this disorganised Journal entry and been able to decipher at the least a small amount of what I am trying to say.

New stuff soon

Sorry for being rather inactive in submitting stuff, what with exams, college and life in general I have gotten rather busy!
Rest assured I will add stuff soon (I finish my AS exams for the time being on tuesday)and it will probably be writing, science fiction most likely :D

SPORE!

  • Reading: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (Again)
  • Watching: The News
  • Playing: SPORE!
  • Drinking: Water
I got Spore today! =D
It's a whole day ahead of the scheduled release date so I am pretty happy (Best bit is it was delivered this morning).
It is a great game! And runs on my laptop well enough (there's a bug though that seems to crash my laptop...)
It is as good as I expected it to be, in fact I find that the creature phase is better than I thought and the editors are very fun and easy to use.
Really the only problem is the crash I get when I go near artefacts in the Space Phase.

On another note, I promise to post stuff soon!

Weird Dreams

Recently I decided to keep a Dream Journal (I haven't written in it for a week because of exams and what not).
I noticed that my dreams were in fact rather weird.

The first dream I remembered was one of the oddest of the 3.

In it I appear to be an investigator of sorts (think Mulder from X files and Sherlock Holmes mixed). I am investigating threats directed towards a baby. I am at the house of the child and their parents, which is in fact my grandmother's house minus some of the new furnishing. Anyway I exit the house to look at the garden; it's dark and quite empty outside with no wind. I re-enter the house and go into the dining room and see the parents sat down looking at darkly wrapped ';presents' with sadistic messages written on their labels all signed 'The Child Killer'.

The second dream; I find to be the most scary in retrospect.
I am walking at the bottom of the ocean, as easily as if I were on land. I breathing clearly and wearing no scooba gear, on the contrary I am in fact wearing my normal jeans and a shirt. The water is clear and the ground is empty, just sand. I can see to the surface as if I was at the bottom of a deep swimming pool, it is very still. Around me or rather above me I can see a few large fish, dolphins, whales and sharks. What I mean by big is that they are all at least the size of a killer whale. I appear to be checking their sizes as I wake up.
The reason I find that dream scary in retrospect is because I actually dislike swimming in the sea because of the creatures in it, I feel like I am disturbing them and that dislike my presence.

The third dream is the most fuzzy of all. I am on top of a very large hill surrounded by water, like an island in the middle of a lake. I am following a path and find myself passing a very very large water slide. I think I slide down the slide and then enter a big top (carnival tent) full of people, old arcade like games, slot machines and other stuff. I walk about a bit and see some people I know, it seems to be a sort of party. I then begin to talk to a not so close friend there and wake up.

Kris Wilson posted this saying it was the people who comment on his art, I'm inclined to agree: [link]
Its hilariously true!
If you've ever looked at the comments he gets on his art you will understand.
